The word suggests fame. The policy means something narrower and more useful: that the world, unprompted, has already written about you.
Press coverage bought by the subject does not count. Interviews, in which the subject speaks about themselves, count for very little. What counts is the disinterested record: a critic reviewing the work, a regulator citing the filing, a historian placing the firm in its decade.
Significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.
This is why our first step is an audit rather than a draft. Prose cannot repair an absent record, and a deleted entry is worse than none: the deletion log is public, searchable, and permanent.
The honest reading of a thin record is not “write more carefully.” It is “return when the record has grown”, and the growing is done in the world, not on the page.
